So, apparently 300+ tons of explosives are missing in Iraq. The Times ran with the story on October 25, 2004, basing the story on an October 10th report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). CBS was planning on "a href="http://www.drudgereport.com/nbcw6.htm"running the story on October 31 (the Sunday before the election) but the Times beat them to the punch. The Kerry Campaign jumped on the story blaming the President for "incredible incompetence" and calling it "one of the great blunder" of the war in Iraq. The Times tried to make it sound as if the explosives where whisked away under the cover of night by "looters." Kerry also suggested that these explosives could be used "to kill our troop, and blow up airplanes and level buildings."
The problem is, this is all old news, a recycled story from April of 2003. This isn't something recent like Kerry is making it out to be. This story was first reported in April, 2003. Several gaping holes have been blown in the 'it happened on Bush's watch" theory. Even an embedded NBC reporter with the 3rd Infantry reported in 2003 that there were no explosives at the compound when US troops arrived. This story is just full of holes. Now there are even reports that the actual tonnage of explosives may have been far less than the amount indicated in the IAEA report. I want to talk about some of the things NOT being discussed in the media about this story.
1) 380 tons. 700,000 pounds. Looted? Yeah, I'll buy that. A fully loaded Boeing 747 weighs about 800,000 pounds. Can you imagine how much effort it would take "loot" a 747? 2) 380 tons. Of Explosives. Hmmm... "Explosives" sound an awful lot like "Weapons of Mass Destruction." 380 tons worth sounds an awful lot like a "Stockpile." Could it be that John Kerry's got his panties in a twist re: a "Missing Stockpile of Weapons of Mass Destruction?" You can't have it both ways. You can't say that we went to war for ficticious reasons (i.e. "There were no WMDs") but then get all pissed off when those ficiticious WMDs go missing. 3) 380 tons... Where'd all that shit go? Did it up and vanish like a fart in the wind? (Lawwd...It's a Miracle!!!) 4) ...Of EXPLOSIVES! You can't just stuff said shit in your pocket.
DAMN DIRTY DEMOCRATS! Union thugs attack Bush campaign office workers in Orlando. Bush office buglarize in Spokane. Conservative Author Ann Coulter assaulted with pies by the "terrorist group" "al Pieda." Crazy-ass fool tries to run over Katherine Harris.
You sure don't hear about Republicans committing such attrocities. Well,...yeah you do...

Much to the chagrin of those lefties in the National News Media who are enamored with John McCain, the Senator from Arizona has written a letter outlining his reason for backing President Bush:
1. Winning this war: President Bush and our Republican Senate candidates understand that in order to win the War on Terrorism, we must confront threats abroad and remain committed to staying the course. We cannot tire until we are safe.
2. Vision: To win this war, our leaders will need to have a vision for the future. President Bush and the Republican Party's vision of a peaceful, democratic Iraq in the heart of the Middle East is powerful. Our commitment to the transformative power of freedom is compelling.
3. Leadership: President Bush's administration has tackled and solved the problems thrust upon us. He has made hard choices and has thrown his full commitment behind them. He has kept us moving forward to a safer day even if it would be easier to rest. That kind of resolve is rare and the President deserves our admiration.
4. Experience: Americans have always shown an amazing resiliency throughout our history. It is one of our great strengths. And now beset by threats from abroad, I urge us to draw upon that experience and rally around this President and our Republican team. President Bush and the Republican Senate Majority are committed to making us safer. They have the resolve to see the task though to the end and they deserve our support Admittedly, this letter was written for the purpose of drumming up donations for the Nat'l Republican Senatorial Committee, but I bet you aren't going to hear this on NBC tonight.
NEVER ATTACK ANN COULTER WHEN SHE SURROUNDED BY CONSERVATIVES Two members of "al Pieda" hit author Ann Coulter with some cream pies after she made a speech at the University of Arizona. The two "al Pieda" members were going to throw the pies at Coulter, then meet later on campus after running through an Exit. What they weren't counting on were the several people in attendance that apprehended the two immediately after the deed and held them for police. Don't these two guys know that conservatives are a bunch of rash, violent, and hot-tempered apes? Did they think people would just stand by and watch the way liberals would? Dumbasses.

This is the first year I’ve registered to vote. And I’m gonna vote. Bush is definitely not my homie, but I’m still undecided. Kerry has been known to say some things that’s caught my attention, made a few statements I’ve liked, but I don’t know. Whatever my decision is, I would like to see Bush out of office. I don’t wanna see my little brother get drafted. He just turned eighteen. I don’t want to see him lose his life. People think their votes don’t count, but people need to get out and vote. Every motherf**kin’ vote counts. So, he's "gonna vote," Bush is "not his homie," and he "wants to see Bush out of office," but he's still undecided. These types of people, folks, are the "undecided" voters whose opinions the National News Media so cherish.
AND WHILE WE'RE ON THE SUBJECT OF THE DRAFT Has no one noticed that despite the hysteria created by the Kerry campaign machine, President Bush has stated unequivocally that he will NOT reinstate the draft? In fact, the talking about bringing back the draft are DEMOCRATS!. H.R. 163 was sponsored by Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and its purpose was To provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes. The resolution had 14 co-sponsors, all DEMOCRATS. This bill failed with a 402-2 vote. Amazingly, the Resolution's sponsor VOTED AGAINST IT. The only 2 voting in favor were Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) and John Murtha (D-PA). You'd think SOMEONE at NBC or ABC or CBS would bring this up when breathlessly reporting of rumors concerning re-instatement of the draft.

Saw this on ABC's Nightline last night. What Happened in Kerry's Vietnam Battles? Last night's Nightline was dedicated to investigating the events surrounding John Kerry's Silver Star. ABC decided to "get to the bottom" of what happened by actually visiting the site of the battle, a small "hamlet" along a river in Vietnam. Kerry's Silver Star Citation calls it the Dong Cung River, ABC says it was the Bay Hap River. I'm not sure what the discrepancy is here, but I'm sure the river was renamed, the location of the event is not in dispute. John O'Neill, author of Unfit for Command, was the guest.
Here's the story: Earlier in the day, a three boat flotilla under Kerry's command came under fire near the village of Tran Thoi. The three boats beached and a small group of South Vietnamese soldiers being carried by the boats disembarked to engaged the Viet Cong fighters firing on the boats. After the brief battle two of the boats, one commanded by Kerry, continued up river to the small hamlet of Nha Vi where they again came under fire. The two boats again beached, and Kerry allegedly an enemy combatant. Koppel, based on claims by the eyewitnesses, stated that Kerry faced overwhelming odds and asked John O'Neill to address these claims. O'Neill claimed in "Unfit for Command" that Kerry only faced one person, a teenager. The eyewitnesses ABC interviewed at Nha Vi were: Vo Van Tam, 54 - a local Viet Cong (VC) "commander" during the war. He would have been 19 at the time of the story. Vo Thi Vi, 54 - his wife Nguyen Van Ty, 80's - He is not identified, but I assume he was VC. He says during the story "We tried to shoot at the (SWIFT) boat, but we didn't hit anything." Nguyen Thi Tuoi, 77 - His wife
The main point of disagreement between Koppel and O'Neill was whether or not Kerry faced "overwhelming enemy force" at Nha Vi. The eyewitnesses said that there was a big firefight between the men on the SWIFT boats and a dozen or so VC. Koppel also seemed to believe that Kerry's citation stated the same thing, but it doesn't. The citation states that Kerry's flotilla came under "intense automatic and small arms fire" at Tran Thoi, the first village. The citation only states that Kerry came "under fire from a heavy foliated area and a B-40 rocket exploded close to (Kerry's boat.)" The citation cites Kerry for attacking a "numerically superior force," but doesn't actually specify which location the force was at. The way the citation reads, I would assume that the "numerically superior force" was encountered at Tran Thoi, but not at Nha Vi.
Another problem is that both John Kerry's Biography by the Boston Globe AND in "Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War" state that John Kerry encountered ONE individual, a teenager. In fact, O'Neill quoted John Kerry in one of the books (reading from the book on air) as saying "Thank God there weren't more of them (enemy combatants.)" So on the one hand, we have John O'Neill AND John Kerry contending there was just one individual. On the other, we have Charlie contending that there was a "numerically superior force" at the hamlet of Nha Vi and a mistaken assumption that Kerry's citation says the same thing. ABC has the choice to believe the version of former two Vietnam Veterans (John O'Neill and John Kerry) or the one of former Communist guerillas, and ABC chooses Charlie. Go figure.

1) Kerry made this statement and it was very telling. On the question of gay marriage, Senator Kerry stated:
But I also believe that because we are the United States of America, we're a country with a great, unbelievable Constitution, with rights that we afford people, Think about that a minute..."rights that WE afford people." Who is "we?" I can tell you with 100 percent certainty who John Kerry thinks "we" is. John Kerry thinks "we" is government. We lets take a moment to read the Declaration of Independence which, while not an actual governing document, can give us a little insight as to what the founding fathers thought about "Rights"
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, We are endowed with our "Rights." Government doesn't afford you your rights, you already have them. The only function of government with respect to your rights is to secure them. This is a big part of liberal philosophy, that the people exist as a function of government, and that you don't have anything without the government, rights, healthcare, whatever. Your rights are "afforded" to you. If something is "afforded" (i.e. "given") to you, it can be taken away.
2) John Kerry, when talking about the tax cuts, repeated the line "89 billion WENT BACK to the top one percent of wage earners." Here's another clue into liberal philosophy regarding taxes. President Bush's tax cut didn't give ANY money back to rich people. The tax cut ALLOWED people to KEEP money that they had already earned. According to liberal philosphy, though, your tax dollars is money that BELONGS to the government. If someone keeps their money because of a tax cut, liberals believe that they are giving this money to you. And while we are on the subject of the tax cuts, OF COURSE the evil "Wealthiest one percent" benefitted more from the tax cuts. THEY PAY MORE IN TAXES. The Godfather has it all compiled at his website, but the figures are taken directly from the IRS. Here is a table with the percentage of income earners, and their share of income taxes paid. These tables are as of 2001, but rest assured it hasn't changed very much: [image]heavyarms_10211373 9.jpg[/image] So the bottom 50% of wage earners pay less than 5% of the income taxes paid in this country. Put simply, if you pay taxes (you don't get money back after you file your taxes) You are footing almost the ENTIRE bill for the country. The top 50 percent of wage earners are couples or individuals who earn more than $26,000 a year (in 2001 dollars) So if you live alone or are married with an income of over $26,000 a year, you belong to the group of people who actually foot the bill for the rest of the country. Would a tax cut benefit the poor? Of course not, BECAUSE THEY DON'T PAY ANY TAXES. Do the tax cuts disproportionately benefit the rich? Yes, BECAUSE THEY PAY A DISPROPORTIONATE AMOUNT.
3) Bob Shieffer asked both candidates what they would say to someone who just lost his/her job to an overseas worker who would work for less money. Here's a GREAT response from the Talkmaster, Neal Boortz:
"First of all, Bob, I would tell them that it is not their job. The job belongs to the employer, not the employee. You have the job skills. The employer has the jobs. If the employer can make a profit by purchasing your job skills to perform his job then you get a paycheck. If your job skills cost the employer too much, or if your job skills don't meet the employer's needs, then you don't get a paycheck. If you fail to develop your job skills, you run the risk of not having a paycheck. If your job skills don't match the employer's needs, you don't get a paycheck. If you charge too much for your job skills, you won't get hired. You have no right to a job. You do have a right to be left alone by government and your fellow citizens to develop your own God-given talents in such a way that employers will seek you out. You also have a right to ignore educational opportunities and to develop a slovenly work ethic so that employers will shun you. You make your choices, and you live with the consequences of your decisions. I would tell that person that any American with desirable job skills and a good worth ethic, properly priced, would have to hide under his bed to avoid getting a good job. If you believe in the year 2004 that you can build a sound career as a textile plant worker in South Carolina then you are living a lie, and that delusion will soon catch up to you. You need to understand that you are a free and sovereign individual. You don't belong to the government, and it's not the government's responsibility to provide you with a job. It's the government's job to clear the way for you to exercise your free choices, develop your skills, hone your work ethic, and contract with an employer eager to hire someone like you. Past that, you're on your own, and that's life in a free society." Great answer. Unfortunately, in our "entitlement" society, this would never wash. Why would it when people out there think the government owes them welfare, healthcare, a job, free daycare, and their retirement?
4) John Kerry the hunter. He once again re-affirmed that he is a hunter and gun-owner. I've already addressed the issue of the Assault Weapons Ban, but I do want to draw your attention to something Kerry said re: beint a mighty hunter. When questioned about his preferred game to hunt, Kerry replied:
"Probably I'd have to say deer. It's tough, depending on where you are. I go out with my trusty 12-gauge double-barrel, crawl around on my stomach. I track and move and decoy and play games and try to outsmart them. You know, you kind of play the wind. That's hunting," Hunting deer...on his belly...with a double barrel shotgun. DAMN! This cat must be Daniel Fuckin' Boone. Most deer hunters have to sit in stands and bag their deer from 100 yards away with a highpowered rifle. Mainly because they aren't skilled enough to sneak up on a dear and get within the 10-15 yards (the range required for a shotgun to be efficient to kill large game...like a deer). Deer can be a little skittish when a large predator-type animal approaches. Must have been all that special training he got for those top secret CIA missions into Cambodia.

Caught this on NBC, during their "Fact Check" sequence.
First, they jumped to defend Kerry's "terrorism is a nuisance" thing. They played President Bush's comments from the debate where stated that Kerry thought terrorism was a nuisance. Brian Williams, being the good little objective reporter he is, said that of course, we have to take Kerry's comments in context and displayed text from Kerry's statement:
"We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance… I know we're never going to end prostitution, we're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life." NBC seemed to think that this explained away Kerry's nuisance remark. Now I don't think that crazy-ass muslims trying to blow things up can ever be reduced to a "nuisance." If terrorism continues, it will never be a "nuisance." But that isn't the point of this post.
My point is that RIGHT AFTER this "Fact Check," NBC continued on playing President Bush's comments "I never said I was not worried about Osama bin Laden. I think that's one of those...exagerrations." Brian Williams, again being the good little objective reporter he was, rolled tape of a speech by President Bush in 2002. The tape rolled, with the President saying "I'm not that concerned with him..." The president made the remarks in this video in March of 2002. What NBC failed to mention is that the President made similar remarks in January of that year and stated immediately after that "He's the one that needs to be worried." The president also said, "We want him dead or alive...but we are not too worried about him. He is the one that needs to be worried." "We'll get him." Now don't you think NBC should have allowed you to hear that in context, hmmm?
Also, John Kerry accused the president of "never meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus." In fact, President Bush met with the CBC in January, 2001. Kerry also accused Bush of "being the only president to never have met with the NAACP." Well, to nit-pick, the NAACP was founded in 1909, so its pretty safe to say that any president prior to that may not have met with them. *FACETIOUS MODE OFF* The president may not have met with the NAACP (and why would he want to when the NAACP ran the ad during the 2000 election that equating NOT sponsoring hate crimes legislation in Texas with killing James Byrd?), but he has met several times with the Urban League, which is a sister organization to the NAACP. So Bush is far from the uncaring (about black people) Kerry would like you to think he is.
Also, Kerry's "AK-47 on the bed next to him" drug bust bit? Someone tell this moron that: 1) The "Assault Weapons Ban" has nothing to do with the AK-47s. An act in 1934 restricted fully auto-matic firearms (like the AK-47) to people with Class 3 Federal Firearms Licenses (something a drug dealer is doubtful to possess.) 2) An act in passed in 1989 banned the importation of fully-automatic firearms like the AK-47. So not only can not own an automatic firearm without a Class 3 license (which requires extensive FBI and BATF interviews of yourself and your family and friends, inspection of where you plan to store the weapon, and a 200 dollar tax EVERY time the firearm exchanges owners), but it has been illegal to import these firearms for 15 years. 3) Most importantly, a criminal, BY DEFINITION, will ignore the law. It doesn't matter HOW MANY FUCKING FIREARM LAWS you have on the books, if a CRIMINAL wants to obtain a certain type of firearm he will not pay attention to the laws regarding obtaining said firearm.

...tonight's the final chapter in the the 3 part Presidential Candidate Joint Press Conference, other wise known as the Presidential "Debate."
Nothing to say, but I will set the rules for tonights "Debate" drinking game.
You have to take a shot everytime John Kerry says "middle class" or "I have a plan." Two shots if he mentions his service in Vietnam. Someone at the Kerry campaign must have mentioned that to him before the last debate, because he didn't say it once. "Okay, dammit! I get it, you served in Vietnam! Christ, shut up about it already!" Not that I'm denigrating his actual service, just his constant reminding us that he was there. And how he USED to manage to mention it every time he was asked a question.
"Senator Kerry, what do you propose to do about affordable Health Care?" "Well, Jim, when I was in Vietnam...."
I would also make a rule that you have to take a shot every time GW "ahhhs" or "uhhhs," but I want you to be sober enough to remember the debate tomorrow.

First of all, don't pay attention to any of the "pundits" today. Edwards did not "hold his own" nor was that debate a tie. Ol' Dick Cheney just lined up and whipped his ass. If that debate was a football game, the score was Cheney 35 - Edwards 14, with Edwards shut out in the first half. Cheney had a response for every charge Edwards brought to the table. Edwards did so poorly he had to break the rules. Remember the "Let me go back to the previous question, if I may." After a new question was asked, Edwards took it upon himself to continue the discussion from a previous question. He also interupted VP Cheney during two (at least) of his responses. Too bad Gwen Ifil didn't do her job as moderator and enforce the rules. Anyway... Remember the stink caused by one of President Bush's 2000 campaign ads? You know, the one where the word "RATS" was on screen for a fraction of a second. The ad zooms out and reveals the phrase "Bureaucrats Decide" while criticizing Al Gore's prescription drug plan. Two democrats, Senators John Breaux (LA) and Ron Wyden (OR) even filed a complaint with the FCC that the ad needed to be reviewed. The letters were only visible for a fraction of a second, and was only apparent to viewers when the knew the word was in the ad. [image]heavyarms_43416544 7.jpg[/image]
Well, it appears that NBC has been "caught" doing the exact same thing. In a Tom Brokaw report on NBC Nightly News, NBC chose a curious photo of the president. NBC displayed a photo of president Bush in front of the letters "ILIE." The letters were from a sign behind the president with the phrase "TAX RELIEF FOR WORKING FAMILIES." Was it accidental? No doubt in my mind. But look at the way NBC, or the other networks for that matter, handled the situation. "The Godfather mentioned this on the air on Tuesday, but NBC News dismissed the claim stating that "To see a hidden message in this is just plain silly." Oh really? Well, back in 2000, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, et al saw fit to either lead off with or at least dedicate a segment to the "RATS" story. Some whent so far as to liken the "RATS" ad to the famous LBJ ad of 1964 which showed a mushroom cloud, suggesting that voting for Barry Goldwater would be the end of life on earth. NBC, in fact, made it their second story of NBC Nightly News on Sep. 13, 2000 and also made it one of the top stories the next day on the Today Show, as did the other networks morning shows. So seeing the word "RATS" for a millisecond is some sinister "subliminable" (a Bush-ism) message, while seeing the phrase "ILIE" next to the picture of the President for a full 16 seconds, What's the big deal? What's good for the goose oughta be good for the gander, huh?
Also, Fatty Fatty Bang Bang has been caught trying to bribe students at Michigan State University (no doubt still reeling from that whippin' my alma mater put on them last year) to vote for John Kerry. Michael Moore has reportedly been passing out underwear, food, and promises to clean dorm rooms in exchange for students promising to vote for Kerry. Problem is, the Michigan Election Code prohibits the exchange of valuable consideration in exchange for a vote or promise to vote. Hope this one gets to court, Michael Moore would be great as Nasty Nate's bitch, don't you think?
